GE Water Filter: Should You Buy One?

There are several different GE Water Filter models to choose from. One of their more popular ones is the reverse osmosis system.

The truth is, there are split opinions on whether reverse osmosis is good for you or not, and I’d recommend you read up on them and form your own opinion. There are pros and cons of this system and many differing opinions.

It does remove just about all the negative substances from your water but likewise most of the nutrients as well. It's also very expensive, as it wastes a lot of water and only uses a small fraction of it.

The reverse filtration GE Water Filters come with a twist and lock design, and if you are interested in this system, is roughly eleven by four by ten and a half inches for it’s dimensions. It’s able to filter around fifteen and a half gallons of water every day.

It can handle a total of nine hundred gallons, making it more than adequate for larger families. Again, this doesn’t say anything about its’ health results, just the features of it, as you will have to make the determination whether you want this or not.

In addition to the kinds of filtration reviewed above, GE also has the faucet mounted system, which as it sounds, mounts to your faucet and is quite simple to install.

This one comes equipped with a light system that flashes whenever you need to get a new filter and battery. Moreover this system is able to take out around ninety nine percent of the lead for your drinking water, and ninety nine point ninety nine percent of cysts.

It dramatically lower the levels of chlorine, smell, which makes the water taste better. Also, like the other systems I’ve reviewed, it is able to work for up to one hundred gallons of water, or three months before you have to replace it.

Is the GE Water Filter company the best? While this is certainly a compotent company, I would actually recommend you stick with PUR and Brita, and sometimes Kenmore and katadyne, depending on the kind you are getting.

The reason is, these all have proven to be the most effective filters at removing harmful contaminants and improving health, and are better than a GE Water Filter.
